WELCOME to the official website of the Albanian American Civic League!

Through Congressional legislation, advocacy, fact-finding missions, intensive research, and hard-hitting analyses, the Albanian American Civic League has been dedicated for more than twenty years to resolving the Albanian national cause and bringing lasting peace and stability to Southeast Europe. In collaboration with foreign policy leaders in the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate and a network of committed volunteers around the world, the Civic League works to bring genuine independence to Kosova, equal rights to Albanians in Macedonia, Montenegro, the Presheva Valley, and Chameria, and democracy and economic freedom to Albania. VIDEO OF THE WEEK

Every week, we will feature a video clip showing the tireless work of the Albanian American Civic League to bring independence to Kosova, and democracy, equality, and prosperity to all Albanians in the Balkans.

This week's feature video: On the occasion of Holocaust Remembrance Day on April 8, 2013, and the series of events commemorating it around the world for the past week, we thought that it would be important for you to listen to the interviews that we did with Zev Brenner, a prominent Jewish television broadcaster in the United States.  Zev interviewed us after the historic event that the Albanian American Civic League and Foundation held last November on Capitol Hill on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Albania’s independence.  As you know, the focus of the event on November 28, 2012, was the unique role that Albanians played in saving every Jew who either lived in Albania or sought refuge there during the Holocaust.  In addition, the Albanian American Civic League and Foundation brought to international attention for the first time the role that Kosovar Albanians played in transporting Jews out of Nazi- and Serbian- occupied Kosova to safety in Albania..
